Salicylic acid

Salicylic acid is a beta-hydroxy acid. Its name comes from the Latin word "Salix" meaning "willow tree". It has a therapeutic effect on various skin conditions such as acne and eczema. It is used in the production of cosmetic care products such as creams, masks, shampoos and tonics. It also helps remove dead cells; exfoliates the skin. It has a stimulating effect.
